As founder of The Directorio Hispano USA Inc., Carmen Diaz-Fabian, a native of Puerto Rico, she moved to Broward County in 1981 and two years later began publishing The Herald Broward and after El Noticiero, both bi-weekly newspaper serving of the local Hispanic community.

In 1986, Ms. Diaz-Fabian had the vision that the Hispanic community was the need to find services and businesses where they speak the same language, so it was given the task of creating a link between entrepreneurs and the growing Spanish-speaking population in south Florida, and since then he began publishing the Board Hispano USA., Inc.

Such was the acceptance, which later had to sell his other two publications to only focus on the nascent Spanish Yellow Pages, which contributed to the growth of the Hispanic Directory expanding its coverage not only in Broward County, also in Collier counties Lee, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast.

At present Ms. Carmen Diaz-Fabian has retired leaving a lasting legacy for all who had the opportunity to meet her, because thanks to her vision of the future, effort and human quality, we are honored to be considered the Honorary President of The Board Hispano USA, Inc.
